Veteran Affairs

The Office of the Registrar at East Carolina University administers the federal VA Educational Benefits for eligible students.  All questions pertaining to the North Carolina Department of Veteran Affairs State Scholarship should be directed to the Cashier's Office (252-328-6886).

This site is designed to assist you in the process of requesting your VA benefits and military credit.  Keep in mind that any form requiring your signature must be returned to our office for further processing.  Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions, Military Credit and Information for Veterans and Dependents links for important information.

Once you have been fully admitted to the University, you should submit your paperwork to this office as soon as you can.  Please contact us if you have any further questions.

Note:  VA has begun processing claims for REAP (Chapter 1607).General information on REAP is available on the Education Web site at https://www.gibill.va.gov/. Updates to these sections will be made as additional information becomes available. VA has a large number of pending REAP claims so please be patient while they work to process pending claims.  Thank you.
