About the Division of Research and Graduate Studies

Provides leadership for sponsored research, technology transfer, and research compliance
Provides leadership in graduate education
Fosters development of faculty research programs through new and existing programs; through investment of institutional resources
Approves all proposals for extramural funding and negotiates grants and contracts
Promotes the ethical conduct of research and oversees compliance activities at ECU
Leads the strategic planning for research and graduate education.
Works closely with the Provost/ Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and the Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences to ensure the effective use of available resources
Assists technology transfer and promotes economic development and community engagement in eastern North Carolina
