The Search for Universal Organizing Principles in Social Networks

Jeffrey C. Johnson is a Senior Scientist at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Coastal Science and Policy and is a Professor of Sociology at East Carolina University. He also holds adjunct positions in Anthropology, Biology and Biostatistics. He received his PhD in social science from the University of California, Irvine in 1981. His dissertation research involved an ethnography of a multi-ethnic salmon fish camp in Bristol Bay, Alaska, where he worked as a boat carpenter.
