Community Outreach Interests

As a professor of tourism, an international consultant on global tourism solutions, and a researcher, he has considerable interest in the past, present, and future development of tourism. Edgell is researching and examining best practices for tourism development in communities.

Research Interests

Dr. Edgell has been dedicated to conducting quality multidisciplinary research focusing on issues relevant to tourism policy and planning, tourism development, sustainable tourism, and tourism management. In these research areas he has produced books, monographs, book chapters, journal articles and other presentations.
