United States Visitor Care Code

The United States Visitor Care Code has been developed and is managed by the Center for Sustainable Tourism. The United States Visitor Care Code is designed to provide travelers in the United States with information on how they can reduce the negative impact of their travel and visitor related activities. The Code was created with domestic travelers in mind and includes actions that they can take to protect the environment and support local economies and communities. Travelers are encouraged to review the Code before their trip so that they can incorporate such actions into their travel plans. The United States Visitor Care Code provides US travelers simple guidelines on how they can reduce the impact of their travel on the environment. The Care Code is available to be republished at no cost under the terms of our free license.
