Can you send me any information on the tests that you give?

Where can I find study materials for the test I am taking?

Official study guides can be directly purchased on-line through the testing company. For specific information regarding official study materials, you can go to Admissions Testing, Licensure/Certification Testing or CLEP Testing website pages. http://www.ecu.edu/cs-acad/testingcenter/LicensureCertification.cfm Additionally, most bookstores carry study materials for many of the exam programs. East Carolina University’s Office of Professional Programs offers various exam preparation programs for the GRE and the GMAT; they can be reached at (252) 328-6377.

How do I register for the Miller Analogies Test (MAT)?

Please call the East Carolina University Testing Center for an appointment (252-328-6811) or stop by the Testing Center (Brewster D-102) to register for the exam.  You will be asked to pay at the time of registration.  The MAT is a one hour computer-based exam. The MAT is offered each weekday, Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 3:30pm.  The cost of the MAT is $90.00.  Please contact our office by calling (252) 328-6811 or email testingcenter@ecu.edu for more information.

How do I register for the College Level Examination Program (CLEP)?

Please call the East Carolina University Testing Center for an appointment (252) 328-­‐6811 or stop by the Testing Center (Brewster D-­‐102) to register for a CLEP exam. The CLEP is an hour and a half computer-­‐based exam. The CLEP is offered each weekday, Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 3:00pm. The cost of the exam is $110.00; $30.00 of which is due at the time of registration and the remaining $80.00 is due during online registration. How do I obtain a proctor?

If you are a student taking a distance course at any school within the University of North Carolina System, you can obtain proctoring services at the ECU DE Proctoring Center.  You can reserve a proctoring appointment by filling out the online request at: http://services.northcarolina.edu and select the ECU DE Proctoring Center.  You can contact the ECU DE Proctoring Center directly at (252) 737-4350.

The ECU Testing Center does offer proctoring services to individuals taking distance education courses outside of the UNC System. If you are a DE student outside of the UNC System, you can contact our office by calling (252) 328-6811 or email testingcenter@ecu.edu for more information.

What score do I need to receive in order to be admitted into my graduate program? 

Score requirements vary depending on the graduate program you are applying to.  Please contact your prospective graduate program for specific score requirements.

How long does it take for me to receive my scores?

Most tests will provide unofficial results immediately after the test is completed.  It can take approximately 2-4 weeks for the official score to reach your designated institution(s).

How do I get my scores from a test I previously took at ECU?

If your MAT scores were sent to East Carolina University at the time of the testing, Graduate Admissions will have a copy of your scores. You can contact Graduate Admissions directly at 252-328-6012.  If your score has expired or if you did not send your scores to ECU, you will need to contact the individual testing company for score reports.  For specific MAT contact information, you can go to: www.milleranalogies.com

If your CLEP scores were sent to East Carolina University at the time of testing, the Registrar’s Office will have a copy of you scores.  You can contact the Registrar’s Office at 252-328-6524.  If your score has expired or if you did not send your scores to ECU, you will need to contact the individual testing company for score report.  For specific CLEP contact information, you can go to: https://clep.collegeboard.org/
