Which Catalog Year Should You Use?
A degree-seeking student enters East Carolina University under the catalog in effect at the time of official enrollment. Students can choose to graduate under a catalog published after the student is originally enrolled. Undergraduates have a period of five years in which to graduate under a specific catalog year.
For all matters regarding an earlier academic year, refer to the appropriate archived catalog. By
15 of each year, the undergraduate catalog for an academic year is “frozen” to establish the guidelines and regulations under which each incoming class will matriculate.
