Dr Rondall Rice

Dr. Rice comes to us from the United States Air Force where he is ending his current assignment as Chief of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance of the 603rd Air and Space Operations Center, U.S. Air Forces Europe and U.S. Air Forces, Africa.  He holds a Ph.D. in history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a master of strategic studies with academic distinction from the Air War College, a master of arts in history from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and a bachelor of science from the United States Air Force. 


He served two stints in the department of history at the US Air Force Academy. At the Academy, he led in creating, directing, and teaching interdisciplinary courses.  Dr. Rice has also held a number of positions in academic administration within military education programs and at the Academy.

Stephanie grew up in Geneva, Switzerland and Fairfax, Virginia. She attended East Carolina University where she earned her Master's degree in Counselor Education and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Stephanie began advising at ECU in 2005 in the College of Health and Human Performance and then the College of Allied Health and Pre-Professional Advising Center, where she worked with a variety of students interested in the health field.  Stephanie also teaches COAD 1000 (Freshman Seminar). Stephanie has professional memberships with the North Carolina School Counselor Association, NACADA (National Advisor Association), and is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Advisor Training Committee. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband Scott and daughter Grace, as well as close family and friends. An addiction to shopping, sitting on the beach with a good book anywhere (but you will find her most on the OBX) and time with family seem to fill up any extra time! Stephanie is a lifelong PIRATE and loves sharing the purple and gold spirit with her ECU students.

Nicole Johnson

Nicole is from Elizabethtown, North Carolina.  She attended East Carolina University where she earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in History.  Nicole began her working career at ECU in 2009 as a student worker and transitioned to a permanent employee in 2011.  Her time at ECU as an undergraduate student was a wonderful experience with great opportunities at hand.  Nicole is the youngest of three siblings.  She enjoys visiting family and friends, cooking, and has a huge love for cats.  Nicole plans to continue her education at East Carolina University and pursue a Masters degree in Public Administration.
