East Carolina University offers a comprehensive benefits package and other programs, designed to provide a variety of choices to best fit your needs and the needs of your family. The Benefits Unit provides guidance and clarification to Faculty & Staff on a wide range of programs, plans, enrollment, and separation procedures. In addition, the Unit also provides individual consultation on leave items as defined by both the State of North Carolina and the University.
Unit counselors also assist University management in the implementation and policy interpretation of Federal and State guidelines to include, but not limited to the following: Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), State Retirement systems, and comprehensive leave procedures.
