Even with the recent rain, North Carolina's water levels are still well below where they need to be, and conservation efforts are strongly encouraged over the next several months.  YOU can make a difference when it comes to water conservation!

Governor Easley and UNC System President Erskine Bowles have challenged universities to find ways to reduce water consumption, and have called upon citizens across the state to cut back on water use due to the drought conditions endangering our state’s water supplies. East Carolina’s Phase I and Phase II initiatives have already shown a reduction in water use of approximately 52,000 gallons per day.

To increase awareness of conservation measures YOU can take to help make a difference, a series of tips and reminders will be sent to the university community over the next few weeks.  Fliers that print at a higher quality than the graphics sent by email are linked below. Feel free to print these fliers and post them for students, staff, and faculty to see. A new flier will be sent and posted on this web site each week.

Remember, if you see any leaks or drips in faucets, or other water-related issues on campus, please notify the Facilities Maintenance Centers:
