Cell phone registration is voluntary. There is no charge from ECU for this service; however, if your cell phone plan includes a fee for receiving text messages, you agree to incur this charge by registering. No advertising is sent through the ECU Alert System.
Students, staff and faculty may register your cell phone or change your cell phone number to receive ECU Alert text messages. Login with your PirateID and passphrase. Once registered, you may discontinue the ECU Alert text service at any time by replying "STOP" to a text message.
You may install the "Alertus" application on your personal computers which will open ECU Alert messages as pop-ups on your computer screen. Download the software at ECU's Download Center.

Note: You will continue to receive ECU Alert emails until your email account is pulled from Banner (i.e. when you leave the University).
