Robert G. Brinkley

Robert G. Brinkley, vice chair of the Board of Trustees, is a partner with the McGuireWoods law firm in Charlotte, where he serves on the boards of directors/trustees of various charitable and civic organizations.  He has practiced law in Greensboro and Charlotte for 24 year and is the former chair of the Real Property Section of the NC Bar Association. He has been listed as one of The Best Lawyers in America and the Best Lawyers in Charlotte.

Mr. Brinkley has served as a director and member of the executive committee of the ECU Foundation and the ECU Real Estate Foundation.  He is a former director and member of the executive committee of the ECU Board of Visitors and served on the Steering Committee for the ECU Baseball Stadium Campaign. He received his BS degree in Business Administration (summa cum laude) from ECU in 1978 with a concentration in accounting. 

He received his JD degree (magna cum laude) from Wake Forest University in 1981 where he served as Notes and Comments Editor of the Wake Forest Law Review. 

Mr. Brinkley is serving his second term on the ECU Board of Trustees and was appointed by the UNC Board of Governors.
