Campus Wide Temperature Standard Exemption Request Form
East Carolina University Energy Conservation Policy requires that, during normal occupied hours, target indoor air temperatures are 68 degrees Fahrenheit for heating and 76 degrees Fahrenheit for cooling. Facilities Services will ensure that building spaces are as close to these set points as possible. Exemptions from this policy will only be granted under extenuating circumstances. Campus Wide Water Temperature Standard Exemption Request Form
The North Carolina Division of Environmental Health establishes rules that govern the water temperature in a number of different areas from a number of different points of use. East Carolina University has developed a standard for most energy efficient application of these hot water temperatures and apply a monitoring scheme to assure appropriate hot water temperatures are maintained. Exemptions from this policy will only be granted under extenuating circumstances.
