Community Relations
ECU's strategic vision and plan focus on the university's role in collaborating with the external communities it serves. The Office of Public Service and Community Relations is one point of contact for external communities. The office will work to develop a match between the community's needs and the expertise of ECU's faculty, staff, and students.As the Office of Public Service and Community Relations evolves, there will be a number of activities that will assist the university in collaborating with communities. Examples may include:
- Chancellor's Community Caucuses (a series of caucuses to discuss issues impacting communities in eastern North Carolina)
- An electronic portal designed to simplify access by communities
- Listening sessions whereby communities can provide feedback to ECU
