N.C. Agromedicine Institute

The Institute conducts research, education, and outreach programs that develop solutions for the occupational and environmental health and safety needs of the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries communities.

Brody School of Medicine
The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is a source of excellent medical care for citizens of Greenville and eastern North Carolina. That care is provided through School of Medicine outpatient programs, inpatient services at Pitt County Memorial Hospital (the school's affiliated teaching hospital), and through outreach service to communities in the school's 29-county area.

      Pediatric Healthy Weight Research and Treatment Center

Center for Geographic Information Science
The Center provides an organizational structure and a central facility for the purposes of enhancing research, instructional, and outreach activities that deal with creation and use of geographically referenced data.

Center for Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education 
The Center's mission is to improve the quality of science and mathematics education through professional development programs and recruitment/retention of teachers. Through collaborations with university departments, business and industry, and schools, the Center translates the findings of educational research into practices that benefit students and teachers.

Center for Survey Research
The Survey Research Laboratory conducts all types of surveys including mail surveys, telephone surveys, and face-to-face surveys. 

Eastern Area Health Education Center
Eastern AHEC's mission is to meet the region's health and health workforce needs by providing educational programs in partnership with academic institutions, health care agencies, and other organizations committed to improving the health of the people of
North Carolina.

ECU Outreach Network
The Network is a volunteer arrangement of faculty and staff from ECU and other UNC campuses that are lending special expertise to community development efforts.  The emphasis of the network is to work primarily with local governments, providing assistance at no charge.

Industrial Extension Service
The Industrial Extension Service at the Technology Enterprise Center is the manufacturing program of the Industrial Extension Service of N.C. State University. It combines the resources of N.C. State University and East Carolina University to assist manufacturers in eastern North Carolina.

Mattamuskeet Field Station
The program for the Mattamuskeet Field Station takes a multi-disciplinary approach to studying the many interrelated facets of our coastal plain -- wetlands, watersheds, estuaries, and sounds -- and how they affect coastal growth and development.

North Carolina Japan Center East
The North Carolina Japan Center East develops programs that strengthen educational, economic, and cultural ties between North Carolina and Japan including academic program support on campus as well as community service projects that increase understanding about Japan. The Japan Center also assists with other international community outreach initiatives. 

Office of Professional Programs
Professional Programs is a service department within the School of Business, offering various educational programs, lectures, and certification/continuing education courses to students, the business community, and the general public.

Office of Technology Transfer
The Office of Technology Transfer promotes research, scholarship, and economic development through practical application of university technology and know-how.

Regional Development Institute
The Institute has provided economic and community development services and conducted applied research in eastern North Carolina since 1964.

Small Business and Technology Development Center
The SBTDC is the primary organization through which North Carolina provides business development and technical assistance to the business community.
