ODS-Operational Data Store
ODS is Banner's data warehouse product. It is the process of organizing and archiving (read only) historical operational data in a manner that it can be retrieved to create reports to view trends related to students records, admissions, budgeting and spending. The data assist decision-makers in increasing administrative efficiencies and expanding data access.
DWH-Data Warehouse
Data Warehouse data has been relocated to the ODS database. FRS data that used to be in DWH has been moved to REPT - ECUHIST. Banner Financial data since July 1, 2005 can still be found in REPT - ECU. The Banner data and the FRS data must stay separate due to the FRS account number format and the Banner FOAP format.
