Personnel and Payrolls

Grant employees are hired under the same rules and regulations as any other state employee.  Because of the source of funding there is a time limit associated with an employee paid from a grant or contract. When a person is hired on a grant because these funds are considered "soft" they are hired only for the duration of the grant budget period. When the grant ends so does the position and funding for the personnel contract paid from the grant.
