DSC Instructions to Approve or Deny a Finance Security Workflow

 

1)  Sign on to OneStop: https://onestop.ecu.edu/onestop/

 

2)  Under the Tools tab, select Banner Finance

Security Form

Note: Required entries are designated with an asterisk

 

3)  Select "DSC Pending Approvals"

Click the sequence number of the document that corresponds with the document number in the Subject line of your email notification. 

4)  Review the Finance Security Request document and accessthe following site to approve or deny:

Note:  If the error message: "The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration" appears, click the "Refresh" button.

 

5)  The SCT Workflow Logon screen is now displayed.
a.  Enter your Exchange user id in the Username box.

b.  Enter your password in the Password box. 

 

Notes: 

  • If this is your first time accessing this application, your password will be Ban_   followed by the last 4 digits of your SSN  e.g. Ban_6789 .  This password is case-sensitive.
  • If "invalid userid/password" displays after several   attempts, contact Anne Suggs at:   suggsa@ecu.edu

6)  Click Submit.  Your “worklist” is now displayed. (lists all requests to you)

7)  Click the document number corresponding to the number in the Subject line of your email notification.  (displays a Workflow form with information about the Finance Security Request)

 

8)  Click ‘approve’ or ‘deny’ in the “Approval indicator” box

Enter your Exchange user id in the box labeled "Enter your userid"

Note:  If denied, enter the reason in the “Message to Requestor” box and this will be included in an automatic email sent to the requestor

 

9)  Click ‘Complete’ if you are satisfied with your decision 

Click ‘Cancel if you choose to not make a decision at this time


Important:  If you did not change your initial password, please remember to do this before you sign off this Workflow tool as described in the ‘Workflow User Account Maintenance’ below:

 

 

Workflow User Account Maintenance Instructions
To modify your user account, click User Information under the ‘User Profile’ tab on the left side of the form. 

To change your password:

Click Change Password under the User Profile tab.
Enter Current Password
Enter New Password
Enter Confirmation New Password
Click Update Password
Note:
  Your Workflow password must match your Banner password

You can assign a substitute (proxy) to perform your workflow duties when you are absent. This person must be identified to the Workflow Administrator either through the Finance Security Form or via email.

 

To add a proxy:

Click My Proxies
Click Add Proxy
Select a Role assignment from the drop down options
Click Add Proxy Details
Select a User assignment from the drop down options
Enter 'Effective from' date
Enter 'Effective to' date
Select 'Confidential' box
Select 'Non-confidential' box
Click Save

 

To remove a proxy:

Click My Proxies

Select proxies to be deleted from your list.
Click Delete Selected Proxies
