Certification Programs The Employee Relations Staff Development Unit features training opportunities in seven separate certificate learning programs. Each certificate program is designed to enhance critical workplace skills, knowledge and professional development for University employees.
Each program contains selected courses that are offered at varying times throughout the Fall and Spring semesters. The courses within each certification were specifically selected to support a customized program for several categories of University personnel. Employees wishing to take single courses listed in any track will be able to do so without having to complete an entire certificate.
Courses offered by Staff Development & Training, are free to all SPA/CSS and EPA employees of the University. By aggressively investing in the pro-active education and training of its personnel, East Carolina University seeks to advance the overall quality of work-life, improve critical employee skills, and enrich the University work environment with highly skilled employees.
To begin a certificate program follow these simple steps:

View/print the course requirements for your program of choice.

Check the for scheduled course dates and times.

Have your supervisor complete the

Continue by registering for available courses via the web portal.

Present your signed (STAForm) for admittance into every training course attended.

Complete each course within the program and receive your certificate of completion.
Participants completing certificate tracks will be invited to an annual graduation ceremony for the awarding of certificates of completion from the University. Additionally valuable Input and feedback from participants will be assessed through automated end of course surveys via the One STOP registration portal.
