EPA Personnel Administration
Purpose:
The EPA Personnel Office is directly responsible for administering all personnel matters associated with non-teaching EPA positions and coordinating EPA faculty personnel matters.
The Assistant Vice Chancellor for HR & EPA Administration serves as the liaison between the UNC General Administration and ECU in matters dealing with EPA personnel issues including:
- The establishment and classification of non-delegated positions.
- The development and/or revision of EPA policies, as necessary, which includes securing approvals, policy dissemination and policy interpretation.
General responsibilities include:
- Maintenance and oversight of an inventory of all NT-EPA positions as approved either through local delegation or by the General Administration
- Dual certification responsibility with the OIE to insure that all policies and procedures have been followed in the recruitment and hiring process for all EPA positions, including review/approval of all requests for a deviation from standard search procedures
- Review and approval of SAAO and NT-EPA contract letters of offer outlining terms and conditions of employment prior to official offer being extended
- Review and approval of requests for out-of-cycle NT- EPA and SAAO salary adjustments, including the addition of stipends
- Oversight for on-going training responsibilities as they relate to ECU's Management Flexibility Plan
