What made you choose ECU?
I stepped on campus and said this is it. It’s beautiful and people are friendly. You come to campus and think, "Why not ECU?" IT IS AWESOME HERE! I love it! The people are friendly and the campus is exciting and the classes are great. What's not to love?
What are some of the things you are proud of at ECU?
I like that there is so much diversity. There are 300 student organizations. You can have a friend who’s in that organization without you being in that organization. They can take you to their meetings and vice versa. You can take them to yours. We share ideas back and forth this way.
Do you have a job at ECU?
Yes. I am a resident assistant. We help out freshmen a lot. It is difficult for freshmen to find places and to meet people. We are there so freshmen will at least have one person that they know when they start school. Sometimes people think that RAs are the “boss” of them, but that is not true. I take classes with my residents or I will see them down the hallway. There are a bunch of my residents last year who are RAs this year. It’s a good way to make an impact on people.
What would you tell a prospective student about ECU?
You get on campus and there is no question about whether you should be here. Yes, you should absolutely be here. The campus is beautiful. The classes are great. If you love learning, having fun, and meeting new people, then this is your place. There are so many resources for students. ECU does their best, and accomplishes that, so that when you get here, there is nothing to hold you back.
Is there anything else you think people should know about you?
I really want to be on Saturday Night Live. Ever since I was younger, I liked to be in front of people and to talk to people, and to be everywhere all of the time. Then I decided I wanted to be on Saturday Night Live and I started watching it all of the time.
