A new campus landmark
Two years after underground utility problems forced demolition of the historic Wright Fountain on campus, a new landmark has taken its place. The new Trustees Fountain
is larger and more impressive; it's 37 feet in diameter at its base, powered by a 20 horsepower pump that can move 2,000 gallons of water per minute to produce an 18- foot plume. A black granite wall nearby is inscribed with the name of every trustee that has ever served East Carolina since 1907.
