ECU Youth Arts Festival
ECU holds Youth Arts Festival
East Carolina University will host the fourth annual Youth Arts Festival Saturday, April 5. The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the "mall" area in the center of campus.
More than 100 visual and performing artists from both ECU and across the region will share their creative talents with children and their families.
Family-friendly activities such as wheel-thrown ceramics, watercolor painting, weaving, felting, papermaking, printmaking, portraiture and other arts will be offered. Children will also have the opportunity to create their own artwork with the help of both ECU art students, faculty and professional artists

African-American Dance Ensemble
Batik Artist/Indigo Dyeing (Charleston, SC)
Fiber Artist (Wake Forest, NC)
Steve Myott-Puppeteer and Mask Maker (Wilmington, NC)
Blacksmith (Manteo, NC)
This activity coincides with the Youth Arts Month sponsored by the North Carolina Art Education Association. Co-sponsored by ECU and Emerge Gallery, the event is being supported by grants from the North Carolina Arts Council, the ECU Art Enthusiasts and Pepsi.
