Clark Earns Dance Honor

Dawn Clark was named by the North Carolina Dance Association of North Carolina Educators as the 2006 College Dance Educator of the Year.


Clark is an associate professor and the coordinator of the Dance Education degree program in the School of Theatre and Dance at East Carolina University.

She was selected for her numerous contributions to the field of dance education. Her service to the profession includes serving on the DANCE Board, a past president of the North Carolina Dance Alliance, and vice president of Dance Performance for the National Dance Association.

She is a co-author of a 4-volume textbook series and has made numerous national presentations in dance. Her academic degrees include a BFA in Dance from Ohio University, an M.Ed. from Bowling Green State University, and an Ed.D. from UNC-Greensboro.
