Trustees Okay Tuition Increase
The East Carolina University trustees approved a $38 increase in student tuition and fees at their Nov. 30 board meeting.
The approved figure reflects a .87 percent rise in costs for the 2008-09 academic year, which will go toward student financial aid, faculty salaries, student legal services, student wages, and educational technology.
If approved by the UNC Board of Governors, in-state undergraduate student tuition will increase $14 to $2,445. Out-of-state undergraduate tuition will be $12,959. Student fees will increase $24 to $1,961 per semester.
A shift of $70 from Minges Coliseum improvement to Athletic Facility Debt was also approved Nov. 30.
