Mike Riddle, an adjunct professor in the School of Communication at East Carolina University, received an Emmy Award for his multi-media news program, “Just Ask Mike.”

The program is produced and airs Fridays at 6 p.m. at WITN-TV Channel 7 in Greenville.

Riddle, who is also operations manager and program director at WITN, received an award for Excellence in Interactivity Jan. 27 at the annual Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards sponsored by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The program answers viewers’ questions about programming, HDTV and television-related topics, and has a web page and blog.

Most recently the program has adapted on-air content to be shown through video-capable cell phones through WITN’s “On Your Cell” program.
