Health Symposium Scheduled

A two-day symposium and health fair bringing awareness and seeking solutions to critical health care issues facing minorities will be held Feb. 15-16.

The Feb. 15 symposium will be held 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Greenville Hilton, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Thomas C. Ricketts, deputy director of the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research and professor of health policy and administration and social medicine at UNC- Chapel Hill.

On Saturday, a free health fair will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Greenville Convention Center. Exercise and fitness programs, cooking demonstrations, nutrition information, recipe exchanges and health screenings will be held. To exhibit, contact Wayne Scott at 744-6243 or e-mail
