PirateFest Set for April 12

The annual PirateFest will take place April 12, featuring events from the Pirates Pigskin Pig-Out to the International Festival on the Greenville town commons. A street fair and arts festival will take place uptown, with live musical performances beginning at 11 a.m.

Registration is underway for the East Carolina Alumni Association Pirate Alumni 5K Road Race and mile Fun Run. Proceeds from the race benefit East Carolina Alumni Association scholarships. The 25th annual PigSkin Pig-Out at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium will offer live entertainment, southern barbeque, amusement rides, fireworks, and Pirate football, April 9 through April 12.

An Uptown Artwalk April 11 will feature arts and crafts, live musical performances, food and beverages, followed by the PirateFest Street Fair, on Evans Street, between Fifth and First streets, and International Festival, at the Town Commons, April 12. Bands include: Jah Creation, Blount Harvey, Stretch, Daniel Parish, Barefoot Wade, See You Tuesday and Lightnin Wells.
