Kodish, chairman of the Department of Bioethics at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and professor of pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University, was at ECU to speak at the fourth annual Jose Albernaz Golden Apple Distinguished Lecture. Kodish’s lecture was titled, “Why Rights are Wrong for the Ethics of Medicine: Lessons from Pediatric Ethics” He is principal investigator of a National Cancer Institute-funded multi-site study on informed consent for pediatric leukemia trials.
