COME TOGETHER: Faculty officers re-enact the famed 1969 Beatles' Abbey Road album cover to illustrate this year's theme, Come Together. Recalling the opening song from that album, entitled "Come Together," the theme signifies that faculty must come together as one body, where all voices are heard in demonstrating a commitment to teaching, scholarship and service. The theme also indicates commitment to shared governance, where administration and faculty work together to meet university missions, and relationships that faculty, administration, students, and staff have in seeking the common good of one university. Officers pictured above are Brenda Killingsworth, associate professor of management information systems, parlimentarian; Hunt McKinnon, teaching assistant professor of interior design and merchandising, secretary; Mark Sprague, associate professor of physics, vice chair; and Marianna Walker, associate professor of communication sciences and disorders, chair of the faculty. In the background, relaxing against the vintage Volkswagon Beetle, is Chancellor Steve Ballard. The Faculty Senate celebrates its 45th birthday this year. (Photo by Cliff Hollis)
