Joyner Library acquires access to additional online journals

East Carolina University's Joyner Library has acquired additional journal backfile collections, providing electronic access to a total of more than 6,700 archival online journals.

Joyner now owns journals from various providers such as JSTOR, Nature, Wiley-Blackwell, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Sage and Cambridge.  For some publishers, such as Elsevier, American Chemical Society, Oxford, Springer and Cambridge, the library now provides access to their complete portfolio of journal archives. Available subjects include biology, neuroscience, history, education, business and literature.

In addition, the library purchased the US Congressional Serials Set, 1981-1994. Previously ECU’s access to the Serials Set stopped in 1980.  This source for federal documents currently extends to 1983, with plans to expand to 1994. By its completion date, the serials set is projected to provide access to approximately 12 million pages of federal documents.

ECU faculty, staff and students can connect to the journals via the E-Journal/E-book Portal.  Faculty, staff and students can connect to the US Congressional Serials Set through the databases page. The Joyner Library site is located at http://www.ecu.edu/lib/.
