Gov. Palin to visit campus

GREENVILLE, N.C. (Oct. 6, 2008) — Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska will hold a rally Tuesday evening at Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum in support of U.S. Sen. John McCain’s (R-Arizona) bid for the presidency.

Doors will open at 4 p.m., and the program is expected to begin at 7 p.m. The event is ticketed through local Republican National Committee offices.

About 10,000 people are expected to attend, including many residents of Greenville and Pitt County. Parking and traffic around the area of Minges Coliseum may be difficult on Tuesday afternoon and evening. Limited parking will be available in the lots around Minges, Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium and the White and LeClair lots, but attendees are strongly encouraged to carpool.
