Departmental Charges and Fees

The Motor Pool Coordinator calculates trip charges on a monthly basis. A copy of the departmental charge form will be sent to each department secretary for their records.

Vehicle Rates - Effective July 1, 2008

Rates are charged at a daily or per-mile, whichever is greater. Vehicle rates vary according size and type of vehicle being driven.  Central Motor Pool charges $.05 above the North Carolina Department of Administration vehicle rate.

Mid-Size: Stratus/Malibu..............$23.40/60 miles per day or .39/mile

Full-Size: Taurus/Impala .............$27.00/60 miles per day or .45/mile

Mini-Vans.....................................$25.20/60 miles per day or .42/mile
