NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES TO LIGHTING IN D LOT OVER BREAK

Winter break is just around the corner! Since most resident students choose to go out of town during the break to be with family/friends, our office is expecting a significant reduction in the amount of cars parking on campus. In order to help campus facilities conserve energy, the parking lot lights in the D-zone lot by Carol Belk will be turned off starting Friday, December 19, 2014. They will be turned back on Thursday, January 8, 2015.

If any D zone permit holders choose to remain on campus during the break and do not wish to park in the lot while the lights are turned off, then our office will allow them to park in either the B2 zone lots off Reade Street or the A2 lots on College Hill. Those D zone permit holders that wish to move to the A2 or B2 zones while the lights are turned off in the D lot may begin moving their cars on Thursday, December 18, 2014. If you should have any further questions/concerns, please feel free to call or email our office.

Thank you for your understanding as we try to help reduce the energy consumption on campus during the break.

THURSDAY GAME DAY NOTIFICATION

The 7:30 p.m. ECU Pirates vs. University of Central Florida football game this Thursday, December 4, 2014 is expected to create a significant traffic and operational impact on the university due to the arrival of thousands of Pirate fans at the same time university employees are leaving campus.

As a result, Parking and Transportation has joined forces with ECU News and other departments to deliver information regarding parking for students, faculty/staff and the general public in one centralized area. Please visit www.ecu.edu/news/avoidblitz.cfm for parking adjustments and other information regarding Thursday’s game.

Thank you for your cooperation during this busy time.
