Welcome to the home page of East Carolina University Surplus Property Department. We are located at 1104 Clark Street (old Hatteras Hammock facility) off of 10th Street. The ECU Surplus Property Office is responsible for tracking and disposing of state property in accordance with State policies and procedures.
Surplus Property Available for Campus Use at No Charge
All departments have the opportunity to view surplus property items for use back on campus. Viewing is by appointment only. Appointments are available on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:30am - 11:30am and 1:30pm – 4:30pm. Please contact Surplus Property at 328-9941 for assistance.
ECU SURPLUS PROPERTY CASH SALES
The Surplus Property Office conducts a bi-monthly sale to allow the general public to purchase surplus items no longer needed by the University. Effective January 7, 2010, all public sales are conducted on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 8:30am – 11:00am. A public viewing is held prior to sale day on Wednesday from 1:00pm – 3:00pm. Surplus property bid pick-ups are not permitted during retail store hours of operation. Note: The intent of the surplus property cash sales is to allow the general public an opportunity to obtain items no longer needed by the University at a nominal cost. Items purchased from these sales should not be used back on campus or cost reimbursement to the purchaser from a university department. Items can be obtained for departmental use by calling 328-9941.
Cash only. All sales are final.
Small items are cash & carry. Large items must be picked up by 11:30am on Fridays.
