Navigator Award The Navigator Award is presented to an individual for superior performance in a behind-the-scenes position, as recognition for outstanding work, going above and beyond the call of duty, and/or providing exemplary service within a department.

The Explorer Award is presented to an individual for outstanding work, by going above and beyond the call of duty to allow the department to provide superior service to the East Carolina Community.

The Treasured Pirate Award is an "on the spot" award designed to recognize the special or unique contributions of ECU employees to their college/unit or to the University.
ECU Business Services is comprised of more than 100 employees in eleven departments. Customers and co-workers nominate employees for the Quest for Excellence Award through the ECU Treasured Pirate Program. Treasured Pirate nominations are submitted through OneStop. A screening process and selection committee of peers decides on the recipients for this semi-annual award program.
