The Staff Senate at ECU works hard to find ways to support the staff at ECU. Below is a just a sample listing of some of the accomplishments and sponsored events we've brought to campus over the past years. The ECU Staff Senate:
- was responsible for implementing a $500 pay increase to all full-time, permanent SPA employees whose current annual salary was $25,000.00 or less in 2006.
- has representation on the NC Staff Assembly
- created and currently manages Pirate Perks for employees
assists with coordination of Employee Appreciation Week

- participates in the presentation at New Staff Orientation
- co-sponsors the annual Ice Cream Social for Outstanding Employees with the Chancellor's office
- participates in ECU's Health & Wellness Day
- sponsors the Centennial Awards for Excellence
- collected 1600 pounds food for Food Bank in 2009
- participates in annual American Red Cross blood drives
- participated in the collection of items for the Greenville Community Shelter in the Spring 2011. We donated 730lbs of food which will proved about 864 four-person meals for the community.
