Membership in the ECU Staff Senate is open to full-time SPA employees, CSS employees, and non-teaching EPA employees with permanent status. The SPA, CSS, and non-teaching EPA employees within each division elect senators for their respective divisions to two-year terms. Each division elects one senator for every 100 SPA, CSS, and non-teaching EPA employees within the division.
Individuals wishing to be considered for the Staff Senate must have the permission of your direct supervisor then complete the nomination form below. After the closing date of nominations, the Department of Human Resources will certify the eligibility of the nominees. Supervisor approval is required before any SPA, CSS, or non-teaching EPA employee can be placed on the ballot, and submission of this nomination signifies that the nominee has supervisor approval. Approved candidates will then be notified of their nomination.
ALL NOMINATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BETWEEN FEBRUARY 20th, and MARCH 5TH, 2012.
Election of senators to the Staff Senate is conducted through the ASK survey system in OneStop. Each employee will receive a ballot that includes only those senate seats open in his/her division. Elections will be held the weeks of March 23rd - April 13th, 2012.
