Author/Book Event Held on Main Campus and Health Science Campus

ECU Dowdy Student Stores is pleased to be able to assist you with campus book events.  All book sales at ECU must be coordinated through Dowdy Student Stores, regardless of whether or not Dowdy manages the event book sales.  Although not guaranteed, we will make every effort to manage your book sales for you.


Coordinator(s) of events that involve the selling of an author's book or book of any kind, should contact ECU Dowdy Student Stores, at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event.  This time frame is needed to secure the book(s) and coordinate staff to work the events.


When contacting ECU Dowdy Student Stores please provide the following information. 

  • Who is the speaker or author at the event?
  • Date:
  • Location:
  • Time:
  • Title of the book(s) and ISBN:
  • Length of the event:
  • Estimated attendance:
  • Is it open to only ECU or both ECU and the public?
Once we receive this information, we will look into obtaining the book(s) and will keep you posted on the progress.


Set-up Requirements: Dowdy Student Stores will need a table and access to an electrical outlet for our cash register.

Important Note: Dowdy Student Stores cannot work events that are off of the ECU Campus due to state laws.
