Dowdy Students Stores is East Carolina University's official source for your graduation apparel. ECU students are eligible to pick up their graduation cap, gown, and tassel through the Dowdy Student Stores for their graduation ceremony. The costs for the cap, gown, and standard tassel are paid through student tuition. Students are only required to complete and bring the Dowdy Student Stores Commencement Apparel Form to the store to exchange for their cap, gown, and tassel. A form is available below to download and complete ahead of time for your convenience.
The first opportunity for graduates to pick up their caps and gowns is the Graduation Expo held early in each fall and spring semester.
FOR SPRING 2012 COMMENCEMENT:
Caps and gowns are picked up at the Graduation Expo at ECU Dowdy Student Stores, Wright Building, FEBRUARY 7 & 8, 11 am - 7 pm and FEBRUARY 9, 11 am - 3 pm.
After FEBRUARY 9, 2012, caps and gowns may be picked up at the Customer Service Counter just inside the main entrance to the Dowdy Student Stores. Medical Students can go to the Medical Bookstore, Brody 1S-04.
For those students who are unable to visit the Dowdy Student Stores to get their graduation regalia, we will gladly ship this to you for a minimum shipping and handling charge of $8.00. Please also add 7% sales tax if being shipped within North Carolina. Once you have submitted a completed commencement apparel form to the Dowdy Student Stores, please contact us toll free at 1.877.499.8398 or 252.328.6731 to provide the ship to address and payment information.
There is an additional charge for those students that will require a Master's degree hood.

FACULTY wishing to RENT academic regalia for Spring Commencement can visit the Dowdy Student Stores to place a rental order by March 19, 2012 in order to avoid paying a Rush Charge.
A representative from Oak Hall regalia company will be at the Student Stores, Wright Building, February 7-8, to take measurements and orders for faculty regalia. Those placing orders at this time will receive a 10% discount.
