Hats off to the ECU graduates

A Graduation Expo will be February 7-9, 2012 for the May 2012 graduates. This is the first opportunity for seniors to pick up their cap and gown. Other tables have information and special offers for seniors. May 2012 graduates should plan to attend this event at the ECU Dowdy Student Stores in the Wright Building. Tables are also set up in the foyer and store lobby, but mostly inside the store for the Expo.

Jostens representatives will be on hand to speak with you about announcements, class rings, diploma frames, and graduation packages, along with representatives from University Frames, and many ECU departments with information and offers for you, the soon-to-be ECU Alumnus!

Pick up an Expo Passport and visit a minimum of 3 tables -- Get your Passport punched and enter for a chance to win one of three $100 gasoline gift cards and diploma frame to be given away!*

*No purchase necessary. May 2012 graduates only. ECU 1 Card required to claim prize. Must visit a minimum of 3 vendors and have card punched or initialed to qualify for prize.

After the Graduation Expo, caps & gowns can be picked up at the Student Store in the Wright Building during regular store hours.

Medical students may pick up their cap & gown at the Medical Bookstore in Brody 1S-04. 

Distance education students can have their cap and gown shipped for a small fee if unable to get to campus.

DISTANCE EDUCATION STUDENTS and STUDENTS UNABLE TO VISIT THE STORE:

For those students who are unable to visit the Dowdy Student Stores to get their graduation regalia, we will gladly ship this to you for a minimum shipping and handling charge of $8.00. Please also add 7% sales tax if being shipped within North Carolina.  

1.    Simply download and print the commencement apparel form.

2.    Complete the form including your signature and date, phone number and ship to address (no PO Boxes).

3.    Submit the completed form to us via fax at (252) 328-4359, mail, or scan and email it to studentstores@ecu.edu.  Our mailing address is ECU Dowdy Student Stores, Wright Bldg. - Mail Stop 210, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC  27858.

Once we have received a completed commencement apparel form, we will contact you for payment information.

There is an additional charge for those students that will require a Master's degree hood, Honor cord, and additional caps, gowns, and tassels.

Dowdy Students Stores in the Wright Building is East Carolina University's official source for graduation regalia, merchandise, and apparel. ECU students get their graduation cap, gown, and tassel through the Dowdy Student Stores for their graduation ceremony. The costs for the cap, gown, and standard tassel are paid through student tuition. Please note that there will be additional charges for additional caps, gowns, and tassels, as well as honor cords, and hoods for master’s and doctoral candidates.

Students are only required to complete and bring the Dowdy Student Stores Commencement Apparel Form to the store in the Wright Building to receive their cap, gown, and tassel. A Commencement Apparel Form is available to download and complete ahead of time for your convenience, or students may fill one out at the store.

The first opportunity for graduates to pick up their caps and gowns is the Graduation Expo, held in the Wright Building in October for fall commencement, and February for spring commencement. If you miss the Graduation Expo, simply visit the Customer Service counter at Dowdy Student Stores' Wright Building location.

Students graduating from the College of Nursing should order their pin from the ECU Dowdy Student Stores in September before the Spring pinning ceremony. For Spring 2012, the pin should be ordered by February 20, 2012.
