Half-Back Textbook Guarantee

The Half-Back Guarantee program at the ECU Dowdy Student Store guarantees the student purchasing specially-marked textbooks can sell them back at the end of the semester and receive 50% of the selling price! Not all textbooks are suitable for this program, such as those bundled packages that include a textbook, workbook, CD, and/or an Internet access code. However, the bookstore has met with faculty and identified certain textbooks that will be used again in the next term. These books will definitely be bought back at the end this term for HALF the price you paid for it.

This money-saving program in essence, cuts the cost of certain textbooks by fifty percent! 

Students will find a "Half-Back Guarantee" sticker on specific textbook titles. These stickers are only found on books sold at the ECU Dowdy Student Store in the Wright Building. To get the guaranteed cash back, the books must be returned to a Dowdy Student Store book buyback location at the end of the term, noting the expiration date on the sticker.

NOTE:  If you purchased a book from the Dowdy Student Stores that is on our half back guarantee list, but for some reason it did not have the sticker on it, please bring your book and receipt to the customer service counter at the store in the Wright Building. Some of the textbooks bought during tax-free weekend did not have the stickers on them because our final list was not created then. See the store for a complete list of Guaranteed Buyback Books.
