Class Rings, Diploma Frames, Announcements & More!

December 2018 grads can pick up their regalia at Dowdy Student Store in Wright Building during regular store hours. There is no charge for the cap, gown and tassel for undergraduate students. Masters regalia as well as souvenir tassels are available for purchase. See below for more information.

DE students, and those who cannot make it to Dowdy prior to December Commencement, may may have their regalia shipped for a small fee. Click here for details.

The ECU Official Ring

Jostens is the official Class Ring Vendor for ECU

Show your pride through an official East Carolina University ring, available only at the Dowdy Student Stores. The Official Ring Collection includes a signet, traditional, and dinner ring, all with a design exclusive to ECU. Just unveiled last fall, this collection sets the beginning of a new tradition.

Along with the ECU official ring collection is a presentation ceremony. The next ceremony will be held in December 2018. Family and friends of those receiving their rings will be invited to this formal ceremony. Rings must be ordered and paid in full no later than October 12, 2018 to participate in the ceremony.

More information about the Official ECU Ring and the ceremony is on the Alumni Association web page. A Frequently Asked Questions page may answer any questions you have about the ceremony. In order to participate, rings must be paid in full by the designated deadline.

Jostens will be on campus every month throughout the semester. You can also visit the Dowdy Student Store's Customer Service Area to see the rings, and pick up product brochures from Jostens. You can also shop online.

ECU Diploma Frames

Dowdy stocks a variety of diploma frames in numerous styles and finishes in the store. Frames are available in the Wright Building store as well as the Health Sciences Bookstore. Online ordering of custom frames is also available through our vendor, University Frames. Please note that ECU diplomas are 11" tall x 14" wide.

Nursing Pins

The nursing pin although not required, is a nice accessory to wear during the pinning ceremony for nurses, or throughout your career. Pins are ordered through Herff Jones. Please see their web site for details.

Embroidered Stole

The East Carolina Stole is an optional accessory for graduation regalia which as become very popular in recent years. It is worn at commencement and other occasions where regalia are appropriate. As a tradition, the stole can either be kept, or given to someone else as an expression of gratitude or support throughout the college years.

CUSTOM EMBROIDERED STOLES are available for commencement. Please order early to receive in time for pre-graduation photos. Please use the order form available for download or at Dowdy Student Stores in Wright. Standard, non-customized gold and white stoles featuring the University seal are available for purchase any time.
