What is an MBA?
Whether you are a real estate agent, an ER doctor, a scientist, or a banker, a graduate business degree will prepare you to move into a managerial position within your field.
A Master of Business Administration (MBA) program provides valuable training in the theory and practice of business management ∼ exposing students to a variety of subjects, including economics, marketing, accounting, finance, strategy, operations management, information technology management, supply chain management, and ethics.
Earning an MBA certifies that you have knowledge of the major functional management roles in a modern corporation.
No matter what career path you choose, you will experience business scenarios and decision-making challenges. The MBA provides a portfolio of managerial tools and techniques ∼ as well as the "softer" skills needed to succeed as a manager.
What is an MSA?
The Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program at East Carolina University prepares you for an accounting career and for successful completion of the CPA exam. One of the unique aspects of the ECU MSA is that students sit for the CPA exam in the last semester of the program. This gives our students a competitive advantage when applying for jobs after graduation. ECU MSA students rank 16th in the nation for their performance on the CPA exam.
