The Master of Science in Accounting provides academic preparation for professional careers in public accounting. Students enrolled in the ECU College of Business may apply for graduate admittance at the end of their junior year.
The BSA and MSA degrees are both awarded at the end of five years of study to students who successfully complete all program requirements. All other ECU Graduate School and College of Business requirements must be satisfied before the degree is awarded.
Completion of this program prepares graduates for positions in areas such as public, industry, and governmental accounting. In addition, most people completing the program will be prepared for professional exams following graduation. Graduates normally score well above the national average on the professional examinations.
