| Department of Accounting The Accounting Department encourages and supports an environment where students can acquire both applied and theoretical knowledge of various accounting fields. Our primary purpose is to provide general professional accounting education leading to careers in public and private sectors. For careers in general accounting, the program provides practical education in various areas such as managerial accounting, internal auditing, and governmental accounting. This program develops an excellent foundation for other business areas and for graduate studies in such areas as Business Administration, Public Administration and Health Care Management. The more traditional focus for careers in public accounting or advanced placement in industry is fulfilled via the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program. |
