| Denise Dickins, Ph. D., CPA, CIA, is an associate professor at East Carolina University, where she teaches courses in Auditing and Corporate Governance. Denise received her Ph.D. from Florida Atlantic University in 2006. From 1983 to 2002, she was with Arthur Andersen, and in her last role served as partner-in-charge of the South Florida Audit Practice. Denise is a member of the board of directors and chair of the audit committees of Watsco Incorporated (Ticker: WSO), and Steiner Leisure Limited (Ticker: STNR). She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Auxis, an offshorer of information technology and other business and accounting processes, and is a member of the Florida Atlantic University Foundation Board of Trustees. Denise's research interests include the impacts of mandatory auditor rotation and auditor offshoring, which have been published various academic, pedagogical, and practitioner journals including, Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, Issues in Accounting Education, and the CPA Journal.
