| Ralph Flanary joined the faculty of the College of Business at East Carolina University after over thirty years of industry experience in accounting, finance and general management. His experience at a Fortune 100 corporation includes directing a number of global businesses, serving on several boards of directors for joint venture companies in China, and serving as onsite general manager for a major joint venture manufacturing company in the PRC from 1999 to 2002. While working in China, he served on the board of the local international school and was instrumental in organizing and founding a local Chamber of Commerce for foreign owned enterprises. Professor Flanary has taught corporate finance, is currently teaching in the Leadership and Professional Development area, serves as the coordinator for graduate and undergraduate internships for academic credit, and has been a member of the College of Business Advisory Council since 1999. Extensive travel and experience in the Americas, Europe, and Asia allow him to bring examples of cultural, ethical, and other international business issues to classroom discussions. He received his BA in Business and Economics from Methodist University, his MBA from East Carolina University, and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
