| Dennis O'Reilly is an Associate professor in the Department of Accounting. His primary teaching and research interests are financial accounting and auditing. He currently teaches Advanced Accounting at the undergraduate level as well as on online accounting course for non-accounting majors. His research has been published in such journals as Contemporary Accounting Research, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Internal Auditing and Managerial Auditing Journal. O'Reilly earned a PhD in accounting at the University of South Carolina in 2000. He received a Masters in Taxation and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Alabama. Prior to joining ECU he served on the faculties of Xavier University and Florida Atlantic University. Before entering academia, O'Reilly worked in public accounting in Atlanta and Washington, D.C.
