| Don Philyaw joined the Leadership and Professional Development team in August 2012 shortly after earning his M.B.A. here at East Carolina University. With over 35 years in business, he brings valuable experience to his role as an instructor in the BUSI 1200 and 4200 courses. Over his career, Don has managed teams in different types of organizations including manufacturing, dealer operations, and product marketing in the transportation industry. Working with global projects meant spending over 20 weeks in Europe each year between 1997 and 2004 and learning to effectively work across borders, oceans and cultures. Currently, Don consults on strategic issues and business development. Don, his wife Karen, and their four-legged family members live near Greenville, NC.
